January 24, 1930

John Romita (January 24, 1930) is a comic book artist. He became art director at Marvel Comics when Stan Lee became president there (1972). Among the characters Romita is credited with developing is Tigra. Tigra appeared as a crime fighter called The Cat in the first issue of Claws of the Cat #1 (November, 1972)
