January 28, 1954

Rick Warren (born January 28, 1954) was interviewed in his capacity as a spokesman for evangelical Christianity, by ABC's Jake Tapper, Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012. The author of The Purpose Driven Life (2002) and leader of one of the largest congregations in the US, came across as a charming fellow. When asked by the intrepid reporter, "do dogs go to heaven", he said, Well the Bible doesn't say they do not, and I can't imagine heaven without my dogs. Tapper: "What about cats?" Warren: Eh, sure, cats too.
