of historical trivia regarding books, cats, and other animals. Actually this blog has evolved so that it is described better as a blog about cats in history and culture. March 17, 1969

Alexander McQueen, (17 March 17, 1969 to February 11, 2010), was a British clothes designer; he rose from humble beginnings in London to the firmaments of the fashion world. The fashion business he left when he killed himself, is still major. His wealth was measured at more than16 million pounds. He left 50,000 of that to be put in a trust fund to look after his dogs:  Minter, Juice and Callum. He also left that amount to each of his housekeepers, Marlene and Cesar Garcia. He left that amount or more to each of his family members. Most of his money went to charities he specified. These include the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, and the London Buddhist Centre. These organizations, as well as  the Blue Cross sick animal centre in Burford, Oxfordshire, each received 100,000 pounds.
