Sept. 3, 1953

Our research department here at Almanackists Inc. has verified that Disney did not buy the rights to Catwoman because that is a DC comics character, not Marvel comics. Still, it was almost a coincidence, that news item, and the fact the movie-- Cat Women of the Moon -- was relased on this date, September 3, 1953. (Not that Catwoman was in that movie, no, there were not even any cats in the movie, Cat Women of the Moon.)
