Cleveland Amory, the Manhattan writer, is so well known for his activism in animals causes, that we had to dig to find an obscure trivia item. In his novel Home Town, published in 1950, Amory describes a home with three different sized cat doors to accommodate a family with a large cat, a middle sized one, and a small cat. Amory's birthday is September 2, 1917.
