The Cat Catalog: the Ultimate Cat Book (1976) has an irresistible title, and the author endeavors to make the title and contents consonant. The blurb say this title,"Brings together articles on the cat in history, legend, and literature, major breeds recognized by the Cat Fanciers' Association, and the care, health problems, behavior, training, and showing of cats.'

The author of The Cat Catalog is Judith Fireman (April 10, 1943) and her vision was not just first, but is the most popular. The author lives in Novato, California, but grew up in Arizona: she is the daughter of Bert Fireman, one time governor of Arizona.
