April 10, 1903 is a tribute site for Clare Turlay Newberry (April 10, 1903 to February 12, 1970). She was an American illustrator and writer of children's books often about cats. Here is a picture of this talented lady who was awarded multiple Caldecott Winner medals.

We are indebted to her daughter who made this picture available. She has a website also, for her mother. Both these sites have wonderful pictures for you to see.
