January 8, 1836
Lawrence Alma-Tadema, (January 8, 1836 to June 25, 1912) was young when he painted the painting below, titled "The Inundation of The Biesbosch in 1421". This canvas is dated to 1856. It shows that this artist did have talent.
The Biesbosch is an area of The Netherlands, which was flooded when a storm broke through the dikes, and the sea flooded in. This happened in 1421.
