This cat is made of recycled materials. According to their website this and other items...."are created by a group of more than 200 Haitian artisans called Comite Artisanal Haitian (CAH). The group was founded in 1973 as a non-profit organization." And January 1, 1804, Haiti gained independence from France. So January 1 is their national day.
