Jill Abramson, (March 19, 1954) is one of the most powerful women in the world according to Forbes. At least until she was fired from her job as executive editor at the New York Times in 2014. She busied herself afterwards participating in the New Yorker Literary Festival that year. I'm kidding, I think she is teaching at Harvard now. Anyway, she did participate in a panel discussion at that annual event, a debate about whether dogs or cats was superior. Jill was on Team Dog. Not a surprise if you recall she wrote The Puppy Diaries: Raising a Dog Named Scout ( 2011).
Here's a picture:
One writeup notes Abramson asserted that her replacement at the Times, Dean Baquet, had a cat. She said otherwise there was no explaining how she lost her job.
