Gladys Taber (April 12, 1899 to March 11,1980) was a columnist for the Ladies Homes Journal and Family Circle. She graduated from Wellesley and taught creative writing at Columbia in the 1920s. She and her family lived in a Connecticut farmhouse built in 1690, and her home, named Stillmeadow, and gardens figured in her writing. She wrote many books and many were about cats or dogs. Such as:
