January 21, 1914


Theodor Kittelsen (April 27, 1857 to January 21, 1914) was one of the artists who illustrated the famous Nordic masterpiece, Peer Gynt. 
Henrik Ibsen's Peer Gynt, a revitalization of old folk stories was first published in 1867. The illustration below was for an 1891 edition.
