February 9, 1926

Letitia Baldrige (February 9, 1926 to October 29, 2012) is famous for two things. One is her etiquette books. Letitia Baldrige's New Manners for New Times (2003) is only a recent example of her books. Here we learn that:

A holiday present or gift of money can be a very personal thing.
I know one woman whose entire life is wrapped up in her dog and her cats. She gives lavish presents each and every year only to her vet, her vet's receptionist and the three people who operate the pet grooming salon her pets frequent.

The other reason we know Baldrige's name is her relation with the Kennedys. She went to school with Jacqueline Kennedy and later became her social secretary at the White House.
