of historical trivia regarding books, cats, and other animals. Actually this blog has evolved so that it is described better as a blog about cats in history and culture. Stuart Hample  (January 6, 1926 to September 19, 2010), wrote children's books. You have heard of Children's Letters to God (1967) and maybe even The Silly Book (1961).  Hample and his cat also put out a book named Happy Cat Day (2004). The sub title is "A Manifesto For An Official Cat Holiday." Hample just illustrated it, the author is listed as Tiger Hample, his cat. And the day proposed for an annual cat holiday is August 15.
