Busby Berkeley. the choregrapher we thank for the elaborate dance routines in movies of the 1930s and 40s, died on March 14, 1976. Some of his routines had feline themes, (some had cats, but more of that later) and an example of this is the movie "Footlight Parade," (1933) which includes a brief dance called "Sitting On a Backyard Fence."
