Richard Dawkins (March 26, 1941) is a famous academic whose numerous publications include The God Delusion. (2006). He may have more in common with theists than he appreciates: both camps take seriously their own ability to generalize.

Dawkins in his eulogy (2001) for Douglas Adams, most famous for his "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" quotes the latter: “If you try and take a cat apart to see how it works, the first thing you have on your hands is a non-working cat.”
