We continue a theme of women fantasy fiction writers with a glance at Joan D. Vinge (April 2, 1948). There is information on her here, notes which end with a impressive list of her awards. Our attention is drawn first to this volume:

Catspaw
(1988) is one of series of stories about a lady with telepathic powers, named, Cat. I think that the cover includes a cat's paw, though from a pretty big cat.
