of historical trivia regarding books, cats, and other animals. Actually this blog has evolved so that it is described better as a blog about cats in history and culture. Bill Pronzini (April 13, 1943) is an American writer, of books about detectives, as well as a writer in other genres such as westerns. The guy is very prolific, and he sometimes collaborates with his wife, Marcia Muller, also a writer. Multiple websites have undertaken to list his books. Which is helpful, but I don't see a mention of his short story collected in Cat Crimes I (1991), a tale titled "Bedeviled: A 'Nameless Detective' story." "Bedeviled" involves a woman who thinks her dead husband is haunting her, and poisoning the cat. The fiction of both Pronzini and his wife has won awards.
