January 10, 1995

Kathleen Tynan (January 25, 1937 to January 10, 1995) was a writer but is mostly remembered now for her biography of her husband, The Life of Kenneth Tynan (1987), And she edited his correspondence, Kenneth Tynan: Letters (1994),  where we find this telegram dated October 22, 1966:

DARLING LONGING TO SEE YOU PLEASE BRING HOCHHUTH PLAY IF ARRIVED AND PLEASE DONT BE CIVIL WHEN STRANGE MEN CALL STOP CIVILITY KILLED THE CAT STOP TRANSPORTS OF LOVE KEN

This was shortly before their marriage June 30, 1967.
