of historical trivia regarding books, cats, and other animals. Actually this blog has evolved so that it is described better as a blog about cats in history and culture. October 7, 2010

October 7, 2010 is the original air date for the Big Bang Theory episode that featured that largest number of cats in one show, in the series (so far.)  "The Zazzy Substitution" shows Sheldon looking for love in feline places. In fact, he has eight cats in his bedroom. They are named after physicists, like Dr. Robert Oppenheimer, a black and white kitty.
After Sheldon's mother has restored order to the world, we are left with a last shot: Sheldon and Amy giving cats to kids. The sign reads "cats/$20". The joke is each child gets a cat AND a 20 dollar bill.
