Anne Fine (December 7, 1947)according to her Who's Who writeup, received an OBE in 2003 for her work in children's literature. That was 12 years after her divorce.

Anne Fine received the Guardian Children’s Fiction Award,in 1990, and that same year a Carnegie Medal.  She was Children’s Author of the Year, (Publishing News), in 1990, and 1993.
