July 31, 1968

Denise Kiernan (born July 31, 1968) is the author of The Girls of Atomic City : The Untold Story of the Women Who Helped Win World War II, (2013) among other things. Both she and her husband have been published in Discover magazine.

That husband, Joseph D'Agnese is a science writer and together they wrote:

The Money Book for Freelancers, Part-Timers, and the Self-Employed: The Only Personal Finance System for People with Not-So-Regular Jobs (2010). Here we are advised to save ahead, so you can "stay out of prison or eat more than cat food in your eighties."

They are both freelancers and base their advice on that gritty reality.
