January 14, 1952

Maureen Dowd, (January 14, 1952) is a famous writer and her column appears regularly in the New York Times. We quote from one:

[O]n the day world leaders gathered .... Romney said he was very troubled that Obama....skipped meeting other leaders, especially Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel.

Sounds like the first weeks of the 2015 year. Actually this column of Dowd's was dated September 25, 2012. We kept it because in it she goes on to say:

In a world of dogs, diplomatically speaking, Obama is a cat. Just as he suffered from his standoffish approach with Congress, donors and his base, our feline president can be oblivious to the neediness of other less Zen leaders.
