November 14, 1948
Michael Dobbs was born on November 14, 1948. Michael Dobbs, you know. You loved his story - House of Cards. The original British series is enough to establish this author as Prime Minister material, in the literary world. Apparently the rat and cat motif in the BBC television adaption was not from the book. It was startling to realize that he worked in government, and as Margaret Thatcher's director of black ops. So the whole House of Cards scenario is some smirking fantasy about politics by a real insider. Besides House of Cards, (1990) he wrote, To Play the King (1992), and The Final Cut in 1994, just to mention the Francis Urquhart story line.
