October 27, 1988

President Reagan decides to tear down the American embassy home in Moscow, newly built, and complete with listening devices installed by Russian engineers. This was October 27, 1988. This was maybe 20 years after he signed a bill making it illegal to kick a cat. Even a cat that's bugging you. He couldn't kick the Russians, but he could  kick the espionage bucket, a long way.
