The Book, Cat, & Cat Book Lovers Almanac

of historical trivia regarding books, cats, and other animals. Actually this blog has evolved so that it is described better as a blog about cats in history and culture. And we take as a theme the advice of Aldous Huxley: If you want to be a writer, get some cats. Don't forget to see the archived articles linked at the bottom of the page.

Francesco Marciuliano is the author of I Could Pee on This: And Other Poems by Cats, (2012), which is hilarious and, only occasionally, nudges on lolcattiness (that web blight wherein cats are made to look physically unfeline for the expression of boring human viewpoints. The existence of LOLCATS proves, not that cats have taken over the web, but that boring people have.)

Marcuilano did not originate the syndicated comic strip, "Sally Forth", but he continued it, since May 27, 2008.  Marciuliano also writes for The Onion News Network, and is  head writer for the Emmy award winning PBS kids series SeeMore's Playhouse.

His latest work is at http://mediumlarge.wordpress.com/ , where you can find Cats' Advice to Recent Grads.  He belongs on this almanac.
