Frances Osborne married Britain's current Chancellor of the Exchequer on April 4, 1988. Of course then it was not assumed they would be living next to the Prime Minister at the Downing Street home, headquarters.

Frances Osborne nee Howell, went to Oxford and is trained as a lawyer. She also writes, biographies, even a novel. We discussed their cat Freya in a post on George. In 2011, Osborne's photograph appeared in Vogue's special on the royal wedding. Her husband handles the finances of Great Britain. His wife Frances handles the Osbornes' personal finances.
