Charles H. Bennett (1828–2 April 1867) was a Victorian illustrator who died young leaving his family in London destitute. His work appeared in many books and magazines of the era.

The Faithless Parrot (1858) is a book Bennett's wrote and illustrated. It is a fantasy about a cat named Tittums, who abandons his friend Fido to hang out with a parrot. We got these pictures from Stephen Gertz's web site: http://www.booktryst.com.
