Francis Dodd (November 29, 1874 to March 7, 1949) was a British portrait painter of great talent. He was an official military portraitist in World War I. His career was steadily rewarded after a he won a Haldane Scholarship in 1893.  Dodd was a Trustee of the Tate Gallery from 1928–35.
Francis Dodd's portrait of "Mrs. Mack and Her Cat" (1927) is a print which includes a cat. You can see it here, where it is almost half way down the page. However if you just scroll down you will see other lovely cat portraits too.
