Today, August 30, 2012,  the Walker Art Center opens a festival of cat videos.

Some have questioned the appropriateness of an art institution associating with this low brow internet phenomenon.

And as happy as I am to have another's writing to link to, the tip off is that the museum is calling this event of cat videos, "a social experiment."
