July 29, 1981

Since our thoughts are on London, now, in the midst of the Olympic Games, the wedding anniversary of Diana, Princess of Wales née Spencer, (July 1, 1961 to August 31, 1997) might come to mind: She married the heir to the British throne on July 29, 1981. And one wonders where the wedding presents are stored, many no doubt in some palace. But in view of her lack of cats, one wonders if there was not a practical need for one of their presents: a silver-plated mousetrap. That may not have been stored away.
