January 7, 1912

Charles Addams (January 7, 1912 to September 29, 1988) created a family of confident misfits and put them in many cartoons. Their pets were not cats, but more likely a crocodile or something similarly unexpected. Here is a cat he drew:

Sadly most people think of that dreadful television show when they think of Charles Addams. He deserves better.
